Most reliable gen 2.5 engine and how many were made?
Hey guys I just bought a 99 Montero with winter package. It comes with the 3.5 24 valve V6 I believe single overhead cam. It has 212k on it and runs good. How reliable are these engine compared to the other options? I know they made a 3.0 and a DOHC option.
Also how rare are the Gen 2.5 with a factory equipped air locking rear diff? I know they only produced about 5K in 98 and like 6k in 99. Anyone have exact numbers?
