Hello monterians. I'm hoping some one can help me understand why I don't have overdrive and why the power switch for tranny doesn't work. It might have to do with the ecm swap so let me explain. I have a 1995 montero Sr 3.5. I swapped in a 1996 montero ls 3.0 (was sitting around in garage). I only swapped motors the tranny that was mounted to the 3.5 is now mounted to the 3.0. It's a temp swap so I can rebuild the 3.5 over the next couple months. Engine and tranny run well. 96 Ecm and harness for 3.0 swapped to the 95. Overdrive and power switch worked before swap. Do I not have overdrive because of the ecm ?
