Default P1750

Hi ! My '97 Montero Sports had this "Check Engine" light on. Grounding Pin 1 on the Data Link Connector, I got DTC's 11; pointing to a possible faulty throttle position sensor, 47; pointing to open or short lock-up solenoid, 49; pointing to a malfunction on torque converter clutch engagement and 54; for a 4th gear ratio signal. Then using a scanner tool, it showed P1750, again pointing to a failed solenoid either converter clutch solenoid, shift control solenoid or pressure control solenoid. I haven't noticed any gear shifting or idling problem. But, after resetting the error code P1750, idling problem came up. The engine would die down unless I turn the AC on. I intend to have the TPS replaced, but finding a lock-up solenoid is a challenge, not to mention the actual job to replace it in the transmission block. Any advise on how to go about the problem is highly appreciated.

Default RE: P1750

you CANNOT use the engine code to properly diagnose the trans. You MUST access the trans computer for the correct code, as P1750 is a generic code that pops up for over a dozen issues.
