Default Question: WINDSHILD WIPER MOTOR

Question, will the Windshield wiper Motor from any other Mitsubishi work on the Montero Sport? This item #8024569200 is to one that shows to fit the Dodge Stealth & Mitsubishi 3000GT. This motor look identical to the one on my Montero Sport, the connector, screws.

Not sure about if the parts are interchangable... BUT on a related note: If you're having trouble with your wiper motor stopping in mid stroke or intermittantly not working..... try removing the wiper motor mounting bolts and reinstalling them. The mounting bolts also serve as the motor's circuit ground (you can see the ground wire from the motor). Sometimes, the ground can be disrupted due to corrosion and simply loosening and retorquing them can restore the ground connection. Give it a shot, you have nothing to loose. Good Luck!

Thanks Joel, you are absolutely right, nothing to loose at all. I am going to try that when I get home from work today. I hope that it is that simple, it never is for me. They were just intermittently working and now they do not want to work at all. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks again for the tip.

Joel, thanks. It's working now. I was able to remove all but one of the four, but was able to move the motor around did not see anything dirty. I bolted it back down and tryed them and they worked. WOW.
