Default Rear Axle Seal Replacement

It's time for new axle seals and bearings on the rear, I'm slinging diff fluid all over back there. I know very little about the seals and bearings on a solid axle setup. I need to know how many seals and bearings each end will need.

I assume two sets of bearings and seals for each side but this is going to be a learning experience for sure. I've watched a few videos but they don't ever mention anything about inner seals or bearings so I'm not sure if they exist.

Any tips or tricks you guys can give me would be very appreciated.

Thanks

No experience with rebuilding rear diff on Montero. I hope these diagrams might help you with understanding what sorts of parts you will encounter in the process as well as to locate needed parts for the rebuild. I do not know exact setup you have, so you may want to check by VIN to make sure to have the right parts diagram.
Best of luck.

Wow, that website is amazing. All my searching and I never saw that through 10s of google search pages. This gives me what I needed to begin collecting parts! Thank you so much!

The diagrams on this site are so much more in depth and detailed than my fsm.
