rebuilt long block
I am hoping to keep my '91 5 speed Montero but it's obvious that I need to either pull the motor and have it rebuilt or buy a long block from a rebuilder
in Texas, as I was quoted $2100. Also I have a bad second gear syncro so I could do the gear box at the same time.
Since the 91's are becoming more and more rare this seems like reasonable option...maybe ? Has anyone done this?
