Default Removing the MAF sensor

I want to clean the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) in by 1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. My question is if I remove the two phillips head screws one on either side of the electronic connection for the MAF, will the MAF Sensor just pull up and out for cleaning? The screws are "horizontal" instead of vertical into the air tube housing which is confusing me. There are no other "vertical screws" on the MAF sensor electronics down into the housing.

What I'm worried about is I remove these screws and something internal to the sensor comes apart which can't be put back together instead of it coming out.
