Need new spark plug wire set, ebay has many for sale. the coil ends have 4 at 90 degrees bend and 2 as straight ends. My factory coil ends are all 90 degrees bend. What is the story here? "03 Mitsu. mony sport 3.0i. Thanks in advance.

is it so difficult to go to an auto parts store?

 

OEM set is designed for this specific engine. Aftermarket sets are designed to fit many different applications with some "fudge" factor. I've used OEM set as well as an aftermarket one. The OEM fits like a glove - all wires are correct length and route perfectly to where they need to go. Aftermarket works, but you have too long wires that are snaking around and you have to loop and secure them so they don't get in the way of other things. It does work but not pretty.

The more important question - why Ebay? I noticed that frequently you can find a better deal on the same aftermarket parts form a retailer other than Ebay. Look around, there are many more choices out there.

 

I totally agree with Hunter, I got most of my top and front end rebuild kits from Advanced Auto in my neighborhood.
