Hi, I have a 98 Montero sport. I took out my battery and charged it. When I put back in the car acted wierd, th me wipers came on, but moved real slow and when in the off position. Continued to stay on. My blinkers didnt work and had to jump it to start it. When i removed the pos. Cable while running the car died. Thinking it was the alternator i replaced it. The sea light stays on and the car died when i remove the pos. Cable but the alternator is new and good what is up with my car? Never had anything like this ever

 

Some of the older cars, have to have a working bulb in the alternator circuit in order to energize the windings in the alternator and start producing electricity. It's possible that yours is out (you don't say that you can see it at any time) and that would cause alternator not to charge.
