Hey there, new to the forum. Just found this site. I have a 98 LS. Love it but is there any way to fix the shaky steering? Seems like when driving on the highways between 45-70 mph it feels like the front tires are going to come off! I know other owners have had similar experiences, but I've never seen any comments or suggestions on how to fix this problem. Thanks JtA

 

Could be a number of things...
bad/unbalanced tires, worn steering linkages, etc.

Have an alignment shop look at your steering system. Should be straight forward to find.

Check your brake rotors and everything. Get your steering rack checked.

 

How about your wheel bearings? Have they been repacked lately? If your tires are balanced and you still have some shaking, it is because something is loose up front. Another thing is your steering box. It tends to loosen up a bit with age, but it can be adjusted to remove the looseness.
