Question on Headlamps being too bright
I have a 2003 Montero Sport Limited, and I'm always getting "flashed" at night because oncoming cars think I have my High-beams on. Is this something that needs to be remedied an authorized serviceman, or is there some way to lower the angle of the low-beams? [I looked at the headlamp mechanism, and I can't see any way to adjust the lights.]
It really appears the previous owner put in very bright lights for the low-beams, so I just might have to replace the bulbs -- the low-beams seem to be much brighter than the high-beams!
Thanks for any suggestions.
Scott

RE: Question on Headlamps being too bright
ALL headlight systems are adjustable these days. In some systems there's a **** you can turn to adjust aim and in other cases there's a screw at the top and the side of the headlight assembly. My gen I has screws. Check for these on yours.

RE: Question on Headlamps being too bright
I had that problem when I first got my 2003 M. Sport XLS, I just adjusted the headlights down a little bit, and haven't had a flasher since. I still get more than enough light coverage on the road ahead of me, even with low beams. These were the original equipment headlamps too.
