Have an 02 montero sport 3.0. I am replacing the timing belt, pulleys, water pump, etc. What is the proper way to set the timing tension pulley before releasing the auto tensioner pin. I evidently did it wrong because the left cam has jumped timing. I noticed it before cranking it, but after I had manually rotated the engine. I think I am still ok. But I am having difficult time trying to figure this thing out. Any help would be great. Especially if it was really specific and idiot proof. Thanks in advance.
