Hi folks,

I drive a 5sp man Delica L300 (same like Montero), looking for a transmission repair shop to service my tranny in the seattle area.
Do you have any recommendations in Washington state?

I'll check with my mechanic. He is one of the very few people I trust to do anything on my cars. I'm on the East side of the state, but he might know good people in Seattle.

 

My mechanic friend said that his favorite transmission shop in Seattle area (Valley Gear) had closed about a year ago. He worked with several other shops there since but is not as happy with them as he was with Valley Gear. He recommends to start at iatn.net and use their "shop finder" function. Call the shops you find and interview them until you find the one where you are satisfied with their approach and that they actually hear what your needs are. Best of luck.
