Default turn signal and brakes lights?

i have a 98 montero. the tail lights wasnt working. i fixed it by replacing the brake switch under the dash. and now i just noticed that when i step on the brakes my left turn blinker(front) lights up as if it was a brake light. on top of that my left signal doesnt work, while the right is fine. also the hazards either didnt work or worked very very slowly i cant remember correctly. has anyone ever had this problem? if so know the fix? i'm guessing its a short on the wiring somewhere.

Check the wiring at the brake switch.

a few things that were done cleaning of the battery removal, unmounting of the fuse box, playing with some of the things under the dash unpluging of the turn signal and now everything is almost perfect. one last thing is that the hazzards are still not working. it doesnt even blink now.
