I have a 87 Montero with 2.6 carb engine. I am interested in finding a suitable replacement engine with FI and perhaps a turbo. I am hoping to find something that is a bolt up to a stick trans. so I don't have to build a ton of stuff. The truck lives at 7000 ft and the carb set up just doesn't work very well.
I have seen a picture of a tr-ts efi installed that looked good and probably would work well as most efi uses an altitude compensator of sorts but an issue is that in California it needs to meet emission performance issues so a factory set up would be easier to make fly. Thanks for any ideas
