Newb to the forums, 18 months into my 2001 Montero Sport. When looking under my hood, theres a wire harness running from the passenger side along the radiator frame twds the front horn. It seems that wire bundle contains the horn plug and a brown plug. The brown plug isnt plugged into anything and I cant find a port for it to save my life. Can anyone take a peek and tell me what this plug is properly connected to on their vehicle. Thx in advance for any help I can get with this.

Yes. Follow the wire and see where it goes.

 

ill post a pic, it did chase it, it goes forever going into bigger and bigger clusters of wrapped cable

fans comes from driver side, ive looked everywhere, i cant find a place to plug it in, and its not very long so it can only reach so far......

 

Probably an option that the car didn't come with. If everything is working appropriately, then I wouldn't worry.
