ok the other night i was driving around and i saw about 4 cars with lights under there car(l.e.d neon rods) one of them was green the other car had them red and another had them white..
are these legal?? like are some colors ilegal or what is the story?
im sure it varys depanding on what state your in but does any one have an idea?

 

they are "off road" use only so you cant drive with them on in any color

 

I am fairly sure you can't drive with them on, like Emonz said, in ANY STATE. With maybe the exception of Hawaii/Alaska, not sure how they run things there.

 

It depends on the state. They put OFF ROAD use only on the packaging just to be legal to sell in all states. I know it's illegal to have them on driving here in VA. You also can't have them visible. If the bulbs can be seen then it's illegal.

 

in NY they cant be visible but purple and white are legal to have on while driving (the only two colors that isnt taken up by FD cops ambulance..ect ect..) so it all depends

 

Yeah in MN you can't have them on while driving. But for not having them on while not driving, any color is ok but blue. Right now I am trying to find out all the laws/statutes on auto mods here in the state, but specific laws/rules are everywhere, they are not in one specific bill or anything. Kinda ****ed up.

I think they look cool, but they are certainly going to be perhaps the last mod to my car. Engine first.

but people turn them on anyways. cops have better things to do than to pull over people with undercar neons.

 

they are legal in texas as long sa the bulbs or rods dont show this was my weekend project this last weekend pink under bodys on my G/F 99 integra all glow a little go it has a full exhust i had made for it it is the best sounding integra i have ever herd
