Windshield wiper washing fluid for Montero Limited 2001 not spraying
Hi All,
My 2nd question (first was about antenna in another thread). Recently no liquid is coming out of the windshield washer area. Wipers are fine. When I went to get the oil changed they said they didn't hear the motor on it when I tried to show them and the liquid area was full. I didn't know it actually made a sound when you try to use it but in any case anyone replace this on their own and is it easy? Where did you get your parts and are there any videos? We would be doing this at home so hopefully it doesn't need to be up high.
THANKS!

What exactly do I do to check the connections? Just make sure they are not loose? Where is the motor for this on this car? Never done this before.

Remove the connector from the motor on the reservoir and check if there is 12v. there on the vehicle side of the harness when you press the spray button. If yes, you can try to put 12v from the battery to the motor (use small wires to carefully touch the contacts on the motor). This will tell you if you have a problem with the motor or in the wiring leading to the motor. If motor runs with this test, but you have no voltage at the vehicle side of the connector - you may have a blown fuse or a bad switch. IF results are the other way around - you have a bad motor.
