hi
2003 montero sport V6
recently i have a new problem
the engine wont rev up more than 2000 rpm when i climb high rock or steep ascent.
of course im in LOW

when on plain terrain there is no problem. revs fine

any ideas?

Check your owners manual. It's possible that it is some sort of safety interlock to prevent overrevving and engine damage when in LOW range
