03 outlander transmission problem

Unhappy 03 outlander transmission problem

hi,
questions, i got 03 oulander, about a week ago my shift tronik stopped working, the lights on dashboard will light up only when you put in P, N, R if you put in Drive and or switch the side for + and - it will not light up and dosn't show the gear number and if i try to shif down or up it doesn't work. i did obd2 reading and no errors come up, pls help

same thing happened to me most likely the wires that are one the sensors within that console came un done they need to be re solder as to which wire goes where i cant remember it was two years ago take the center cover off and youll probably see the three wires near the shifter are off the little tab sensor thing

if you are having transmission problems, a regular obd2 scan will not work. You'd need a scanner that does engine and transmission reads.

hi, yes i found that out long time ago, the only problem was i didn't know which wires go where, i tried all combinations and got it working, but it did actually happened again couple of weeks ago , and i forgot which ones go where again, any idea why that happens, do they just get really hot for some reason and come off???thanx
