I am also a BMW driver... The Outie's steering is excellent. I wouldn't change a thing.
In fact my final choice, believe it or not, before committing to the Outlander was a BMW X3 or Outlander. The Outlander, while it may not have the overbuilt engineering quality of the BMW, just feels a lot better over all. No regrets at all!
