RE: '07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

I still think that's crazy and I need to get these fogs re-wired so I can have them on at night.

'07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

I have an XLS with Bluetooth, anyone experiencing that a lot of times when i get a call i pick up with the steering wheel button and i can't hear anyone. The other person can hear me but no luck for me. I'm using a Motorola "Q". It only works sometimes REALLY anoying. Sometimes they call back and it'll work or NOT. I paired it mutiple time to "NO LUK" Sometimes it works better if I use the answer button on the phone but that really defeats the purpose !! [:@] [:'(] [:o]

Anyone else ????

I have yet to have a problem with my verizon cell phone and the blue tooth in my outlander. It all works just great.

RE: '07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

I have heard the Motorola Q's are terrible to work with any bluetooth set up. Have you tried a wireless headset? Maybe it is the phone. I have a Palm Treo and it works fine in the car. I choose not to use it because the caller on the other end says I sound hollow when I talk to them. Has anyone else had this issue??

RE: '07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

I use a Sony phone in mine and I have had no problems. A couple of minutes is all it took to connect my phone when I got the car. We cant answer the phone from the steering wheel though in Australia.

RE: '07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

On the LS, you need to buy the actual BT interface, have it installed by the dealer and they will enable it as well.
If you buy the OEM fog lights, the control will be on the stalk on the steering column, just as it in the base XLS (without HID). I have an LS with both these options delaer installed so no guessing here.

RE: '07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

I just got a 2008 SE that is "pre-wired" for Bluetooth as well (meaning buttons are on the steering wheel and mic is in the light, but no BT module)

Dealer quoted me $290 for the Bluetooth module and another $184 to install it ($474 total). Is it worth it? Is it really that hard to install?

RE: '07 Outlander Bluetooth Question

Ittook15-20 minutes in my case. I saw the tech when he picked up the box and when he brought the key back to the service counter.
You cannot do it yourself though becasue you need the computer to enable it.
