Are there updates for the GPS to reflect latest map updates?If so, who, how and at what cost can it be done?Also is there a capability to have a horizon view for the GPS screen?

 

To the best of my knowledge, map updates are only available from the dealership... As far as horizon view, I've been looking for that myself, but I doubt that they'll implement it as it would probably require a complete re-write of the software...

There is only one update that came out so far. It updates the US maps from 2005 to 2006 maps. If you have a 2009, I believe that you are probably already running this map. Definitley check your map version.

A newer update was suppose to be out by now, but it was delayed to March 2009.... So it would be the one to wait for, for it should have atleast 2007 or maybe 2008 maps on it.

And no, you cannot have a horizon view on the nav. Only the aerial view.

Well if you would of clicked on the above links you would of found out you can order the update disc from mitsupartsman for $83. You install it yourself.

 

Followed the link. Put in the parts number. Not found. Had to email them. We'll see.
