07 Outlander tire size Limits
Hi there, I have a 07 Outlander currently wearing standard 225/55/18s.
I'm thinking of switching to 235/60/18 which is a far more popular landrover size fitment in the UK and almost 30% cheaper than the odd size that outy comes with.
Has anyone ever fitted this size, I'm mostly concerned about whether theres any serious rubbing.
And I realise they will throw speedo out by 5% and thats fine with me.

You're in the UK and I'm in the US, but here's what I did. I went to Discount tires website (www.discounttire.com) to see what optional size tires will fit on your Outlander.
They show the 225/55/18s as the standard tire and while they do not show 235/60/18s as a tire they offer for your Outlander, they do show 235/55/18 and 245/50/18. They also show tires with 19,20 and 21 inch rims as ones that will fit.
What this tells me is if they are showing both 235 and 245 size in the 18 inch rims, the 235/60/18 tires should fit fine without rubbing.
Just so you know, Discount tire is the largest independent tire store chain in the US and their opinion on tires is very well respected. I've bought all my replacement tires from them including the tires I recently replaced on my 08 Outlander. They would not sell you a tire that didn't fit on your vehicle.

A bit more info
I have a 2007 LS. I had my summer wheel/tire combo stolen during the winter months and have replaced them with a set from tirerack. The wheels are these:
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Price
with a set of 225/60R17 Hankook Optimo H727s.
The wheels are 7.5" wide, with an offset of 32mm. This brings the outer lip of the wheel right to the edge of the fender. The tires are not particularly wide and the diameter of the combo matches (within 1%) the stock 16" and 18" sizes.
I would think the 235 width wouldn't be an issue, but 60% aspect ratio is going to increase the sidewall height from 4.9" to 5.6" and that is a total height increase of 1.4". You may rub the tires on the fenders going over bumps with the steering turned.

Tire sizes
Not quite what you are looking for but I run 235-65-16 on a 08 ES. I too got these from Discount Tyre as a standard tyre and wheel package. They do an excellent job and it is a very informative site.
The only problem I expect to have is that the tyres are not e-marked so they will have probably have to be changed when the vehicle arrives in the UK to get through thr IVA test on importation. However they can always go back on later!
