I don't live in Cali, but I had my Outie re-flashed this week and it took an hour with an oil change too. It makes a big difference in driveability and I'm still watching the fuel mileage. The dealer "should" know how to take care of this problem, just tell them you have the hesitation and drieability issue and they will do the TSB on it (the post on it is here https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_167936/tm.htm ). Good luck.

I had mine done at South Coast Mitsubishi in Costa Mesa. They didn't really know about it until I handed them the TSB, but at least they got it done. It drives a LOT better now.

I had mine done here in Schaumburg, Illinois this morning. I scheduled it with an Oil Change......2-1/2 hours later it was done. Why it took that long is still a mystery.

Lucky you. Im trying to get this fix in the dealer and they always create a new excuse everytime i call. I showed them the TBS print outs but nothing, I'm always re-re-re-re-schedule for the neeeext week.

bisciut. what did you actually "hand" them ?

do you recall the name of who you worked with there.

I am going to try H.B. mitsu (costa mesa is a little far for me)
it would be good for them to be able to call another dealer service dept. in case they do not have a clue when i go there.
thanks

I don't know who I talked to, but they weren't professional or knowledgeable so it probably wouldn't help you much to have your guy call them.

Here is what I printed:
