We have an 09 Outlander se can anyone tell me where the starter is and possibly how to access it and or change it.

 

it's directly below the oil filter, you'll notice the red rubber cap and the red positive battery cable (be sure and disconnect the battery before even poking around down there) many videos online showing how to change the oil will have the starter in their shots

 

I got to mine by removing the plastic undertrayon passengers side, just unclip the plastic plugs underneath and its just there in all its splendour
