I just bought the car today. I really think I'm going to like it, so far it has been really fun to drive. I traded in my 94 Cherokee on it, with one goal being better gas mileage.


So far I've only found one thing that concerns me. When you turn on the light should the shift panel light up? Mine dosen't. It kinda looks like it should, but I can't find anyhing in the manual about it.

After taking a closer look at it in the daylight it doesn't look like they should light up. So we're ok I guess.

 

no lights...cover it up.

 

What do y'all mean when you say "cover it up"? How would you go about doing that? Anyone have pics on what they've done? Thanks.

Crap, it's a bit much to explain. You'll have to take off the original shifter and the whole middle area so you can get the boot and new shifter on.

 

well I can get off the shifter... but how do i get at the pannel?

does it pop off like everything else?
