Default 2007 LS lagging or bogging in auto mode

I bought a 2007 Outlander about a year ago in order to navigate the mountain twisties especially in winter here in Oregon. I looked long and hard before deciding on the Outi and I couldn't be more pleased except for one thing:
It doesn't downshift from the high gears in auto mode and begins to lag. If I really depress the accelerator it will usually drop down to a lower gear but not always and fells very awkward. I had some low speed gear searching problems early on and had the software flash done at the dealer but now I have this problem. It works fine when I drive in the manuel-shift mode and for some reason seems to improve in 4 wheel lock mode.
I'm 120 miles from the dealer so before I go in I would sure like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what you did about it.
Thanks,
pard

Has it had the ECM adjustment? http://outlander.freeforums.org/tsb-...ation-t70.html has info on this, and if you search the forums here you'll find more. I am having the same problem, but I'm having difficulty convincing the local dealer to look at it without charging me (since it's warranty work and I didn't buy the car from them!)

Edit- OOps, looks like you did have it done- did they do both recommended procedures (ECM and TCM?)

Default 2007 Outlander LS: lagging

Thanks for the response. I don't think they did. I,m pretty sure they only performed one and I wonder if it was done correctly. It really is a great driving car, I really hope I can find a solution to this.
