Default 2007 LS, looking for better tires

I managed to get 32k out of my OEM geolanders and I am in need of new tires. I would like to get a bigger sidewall sized tire, I hate the gap in the weel wells, and cant afford new rims. What is the biggest tire size I can fit on the stock 16" without making any mods to the car? Oh and does anyone have any recomendations on tire brand and model? I need all season tires, something thats good on the rain and snow.

sorry for bumping this up again, dint wana make a new thread, I think I found what I was looking for. After doing some research I will be going with the Goodyear fortera tripple threads. My question is., the original tire size for the LS is 215/70/16 , would I be able to fit a slightly wider 235/70/16 tire size on the stock rim?

i am not an expert put with some serch that i have done 235 is the max you can go on 6.5¨ wheel. You better use 65 wich has the same hight as the 215/70.

I'd drop to the 65 ratio as well. The difference is .6% on the diameter...if you stay with the 70 ratio, you're 3.8%. Check the tire specs to make sure it will work on the rim width
