I started hearing problems in my Mitsubishi Outlander 2007 around May 26, 2018. When I steered at low-ish speeds, I heard a metallic grinding, however the power steering still works completely fine. The longer I drive, the softer the sound becomes. The faster I drive, the more the sound disappears also.

The video above shows me backing out of my driveway immediately after starting my car. I cannot tell where that sound is coming from exactly except its coming from the hood haha.

• 80km commute each way, mostly highway
• Just sent for servicing (Transfer case flooded)
