2007 Outlander XLS, Bluetooth is there, but won't work.
Hello, people,
I just bought a used 2007 Outlander XLS, a seemingly very nice vehicle.
Trying to get the Bluetooth to work... I read that it's "stock" on the XLS...
still, I removed some parts and verified that the 8785A001 Module and
the Microphone ARE installed. Regardless, pressing the "Speak" button gets nothing.
Pressed and held the "Hang-up" button for two seconds, three times... no change.
The display does show a cell phone icon, and when it is pressed, there appears
a "no connection" icon and a "full battery" icon for a few seconds.
Any ideas as to how to get the Bluetooth parts to work?
Thanks very much.

At one time, I was able to pair the phone, but the Speak button does nothing.
I think it's a fairly common problem, that would be Real expensive to fix.
Various other posts suggest...
Delete all previously paired phones. Then, re-pair your phone.
Good luck. I've basically given up on getting it to work.

Hi guys.
Long story short, I have exactly the same problem and have narrowed it down to the steering wheel buttons for the radio being faulty.
Don't go down the route I did and change your clockspring only to find the original part works just fine.

Let us know how you resolve this, would really like to have use of the radio and handsfree buttons!
How much was it to replace. Iam thinking off trying to replace myself or even remove as my battery keeps dying. Looking online some have said a faulty Bluetooth module could cause an issue. I just dont know where to find it
