I have just purchased a spare key from local locksmith I just got a plain immobiliser key with out the remote end now I went to unlock the car this morning using the spare key as soon as I unlocked the drivers door and opened it the alarm went of how can I fix this so I can use the spare key the main key is bent so don't really want to use that.

 

Issue 1: Run your VIN into a VIN decoder. Usually they will tell you the trim level.
