Default 2008 Outlander won't start

We just bought a 2008 Outlander yesterday. I think it has fast start. When my partner tried to start it this morning, it only clicked rapidly. Battery seems ok in fob. Help!

If the clicking you are hearing is coming from the engine area (probably the starter solenoid), it could be a number of things. Bad starter? Bad battery? Bad battery cables?

Battery is dead, it doesn't even have enough current to keep the solenoid open. Check for corrosion under the battery terminals. Take them off to look, don't just look.

These cars sit on lots for a long time and the battery sulfates over as a result of standing for a long time, then will never hold a charge again.

Also, I've seen the auto headlights cause batteries to drain on these cars. Make sure they are turning off.
