I have a 07 V6 3.0, and I get about 13-14 L/100 Km/H, but that's is driving in normal traffic, like 60 Km/h streets with some times red stop lights. I have gotten 17 + L / 100 Km/h in really heavy and bad traffic. Therefore, I think for you getting 15L/100 with a 4 cy. is driving in heavy traffic, or no?
How are your highway fuel economy?

My 08 V6 is around 12 L/100km when driving conservatively 100% city. I get 15-18 L/100km if I am really accelerating fast or there is heavy traffic.
However, there is no way the I4 engine should use that much; it is among the most fuel efficient in the class.
How do you drive? Where do you live?

I have a 30 minute commute with about 30/70 city/highway driving and I get 24.5mph on average with the 4cylinder. I tried to convert it to L/100km and it shows 9.6L/100Km, but using a measuring system based on logic confuses and frightens me.

Thanks for all the replies. I live in Mississauaga, there is some traffic here, but not as bad as in Toronto, it's average for a large city. I don't think I have a heavy foot. My first service appointment is coming, I will see if dealer will do anything about it.

I have the V6 LS and during winter I get about 15 L/100km but the thing is I'm pretty much only driving 10 km to work in the city so that's the worst for fuel economy because the engine doesn't even have time to warm up so I'm not very surprised by my results. That same run in the summer gets me 10 L/100km in the city. If I drive longer, lets say 30 km than my fuel economy drops to about 12 - 13 L/100km but than again it's at -25 celcius. There's lots of info that you didn't give us but I think that your 4 cyl should get better fuel economy specially that it's a CVT transmission.
