Default 2010 Outlander SE will not blow any air heat/cold

While driving, the car just stopped blowing air from the vents, My wife took this to a shop and they wanted to charge her $950 to replace the blower motor? this seemed pretty high to me so i told her not to get it repaired there. Is this something i can replace? could there be another issue other than the blower motor? she said the air just stopped blowing on her way home. Is this something i would be able to replace? any help is greatly appreciated. I'm no mechanic... so not sure if this is something i can do. Thanks all

I had the same exact thing happen to me in my 2011. On the way to work the blower motor worked just fine. Then after work, no air coming out of the vents, but the A/C compressor was still working. Mine was just barely under warranty and they replaced the blower motor itself and also what they called a resistor pack. The resistor pack is what controls the speed of the motor. Apparently that had burned out. More than likely the motor assembly was fine, but the resistor pack had burnt out. Poking around looking for a blown fuse turned out to be a waste of time for me.

Thanks all, i took it to the dealer and i'm still under warranty by 5k miles lol. They replaced the blower motor and resistor pack as well. Wonder how that shop came up with a $950 repair...... just trying to take advantage of people i guess....

just an fyi, the blower motor is a $120 part and takes about 15 min to replace using a single short phillips screwdriver. I'm not sure if I had a write up on it or not. not sure about resistor pack...haven't had to replace it yet.
