Here is my theory of how to connect a pre-2010 Outlander with the new bluetooth (PN 8785a025 or MZ314354 for ~$300)

Interestingly enough, all the colours of the wires match up. The not connected ones (not sure if needed at all), can be connected as well by putting in new wires.

So who wants to try?

Please don't try to switch out your BT modules if you have a Fuse and non-Fuse system. The vehicle data buses between the two are different so unless you swap out the radio as well, you will lose your BT functionality.

This has been done before according to some Russian forum, its just the 1 CD base stereo that doesn't support it. 6CD and MMCS should be fine.

Sure: https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/sh...6&postcount=27

EDIT: I found the original topic:
http://www.cpclub.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=2825&page=2

and it appears he meant to say it only works with a newer headunit and he bought a 1 CD to test. So it appears the post wasn't translated properly on this forum (at least according to Google Translate). You have to check the firmware version on our headunit to match that version.

Hello,

I found a USB adapter kit that appears to convert the RCA to USB. I've provided the link for the adapter. Note: you can download the pdf file of instructions.

Has anyone tried this with a 2010 Outlander?

All I see you linked to is the USB cable and box that connects to the FUSE system. That definately doesn't convert anything to anything, its just a USB cable.

Ahh, ok. Thanks.

Ivanz (or anyone else), do you know if a solution/accessory is available to allow for a FUSE system? My Canadian 2010 Outlander has the built in bluetooth capability, steering wheel functunality and I have the Nav system, but only have the RCA outlets.

Thanks in advance.

I am under the impression that the BT + USB = FUSE
otherwise how do you get this.. or maybe it is only avail if the car came from factory with it.
