2011 LS outlander spare key
Hi, I recently needed to use my spare key as the original one has been misplaced (hopefully temporarily). I've never had to use the spare one but it looks the same as the one I normally use, which is a blade key with the lock/unlock buttons and a red light.
Thing is, the spare one didn't work last night when I tried to open the doors and I was too worried about the alarm going off at night if I just opened it the old fashion way.
Any tips? Does the key need to be activated or something unorthodox?!
Please help!!!

The battery might be dead? Idk how the Mitsubishi ones work, but on my Audi if the battery died you could stick the key in the lock and it would power the fob. I know this also works with the slot in the glove box, but I don't want to tell you to manually unlock the door just in case that's not the issue (because you're right, it WILL active the alarm)
