Default 2011 Outlander GT + Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX

I am planning on replacing the OEM with Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX due to the following reasons:

  • GPS signal wont stay locked on OEM with Rockford fosgate navigation
  • Satellite radio stopped working
If I go with the replacement how will I adjust system settings like auto door controls, lock timings, etc that are specific to the vehicle? Thank you for your inputs.

Have you managed to install this head unit?
I am wondering how you get past the fact that the OEM head unit basically uses the CAN bus to control everything including the Fosgate amp.
I'm also tired of the OEM's limitations on my import, but I dont see a way to get everything working without ripping out every piece of wire going to and from this OEM unit and installing everything from scratch.
Or am I missing something that goes between an after market head unit and the OEM wiring?
