Where can I get a stock MMCS/GPS unit for 2011 Outlander RVR/Sport/ASX? Dealer claims that its price is around $2000 CAD + installation cost. Is it true? Price seems kind of steep. Is it possible at all to get a stock MMCS/GPS from non-dealer in Canada, US, elsewhere?

Yes, I've seen a couple on eBay but these look like a Chinese-made units not a stock Mitsubishi part. They have a lot of functionality, run Windows CE 5.0 or 6.0. Not sure if after installation of such unit you can retain all steering wheel controls, USB + AUX in compartment next to handbrake.

Does anyone know what is Mitsubishi part number for RVR/Sport/ASX STOCK GPS unit?

If you're adventurous and want to save a bit, you could go with one of those... It looks like some people have had good luck with them.. I preferred to go with a standard aftermarket GPS in mine, primarily because it was guaranteed by a major company to work, and manufacturer support is available.

Either way you'll save hundreds if not thousands vs. the stock MMCS.
