Here we go again. First it was the rough idle. Now I stall on startup and it's getting worse.
Started after the car didn't run for a few days. Went to start it and it just stalled out within a second or 2. Like the fuel was cut.
Took it in and it sat for over a week. Did the sane to the
They changed the fuel pump and informed me that another car had the issue. I went out of town for a week and returned to find the "fixed" car was exactly the same. Stalls.
Took it in again and they had it a week and said nothing happened.
I go put and start it this morning and tada it stalls!
I begged them to check for some sensor in the intake side that may be getting bad info on first crank and they said "um, ok"
When I picked the car up I told them that I'm glad it's not a plane or I would be falling from the sky.
Best part is I have a 1400 mile drive in 4 days. What happens if it craps out on the way!?!
They said try a dealer up north.

Different dealer may be your best bet. This is a known problem and Mitsubishi issued a TSB for reprogramming the Crank Position Sensor. Just ask the dealer to reflash your PCM to the 2012 software and also for them to look up and reconcile that TSB. One of the threads on here actually had a Mitsu PDF file of all the TSB's out for all of their cars so you could actually give the service writer the specific TSB number.
I'll see if I can find it, no promises though.
