Default 2012 Outlander Sport changes

According to the September issue of Car and Driver magazine these are the changes for the 2012 Outlander Sport "Recalibrated computers for the engine and CVT automatic should wake up acceleration and throttle response. Mitsu also adds better sound insulation and chrome dash accents". There was no mention of offering a larger engine as an option.

I would love to see them move the seat heater switches to the dashboard or console!

I wonder if the engine/cvt recalibration will be available to 11 models.

I don't see why the ECU can't be dumped (been done on an 09 Outlander) and flashed to the newer one (haven't seen anyone flash it actually). Of course that's assuming no hardware has changed.

I have seen quite a few flash changes/updates done to a 2010 Kia Forte and a 2011 Hyundai Elantra.......I'm sure Mitsu dealers can do it on the 2011 Outlander Sport.

***I also am aware of flash updates done on the CVT of 2007 Dodge Calibers.

i dont get what the story is with mitsu, go to dealer and they barely know anything thats going on with new version or when, just that 'sometime in next month' they're getting them supposedly.
called the number on mitsu's website and the person there was equally ill-informed, didn't know anything about what changes there were, or when they'd be available
i have to say it really puts a damper on the sports position in my purchase options, especially when just this week i saw the car and driver article about the mazda cx5...

If anyone manages to get the newer 2012 calibration done to their 2011 models, please post here. I'm interested in hearing about both dealership experiences and self done solutions.
