Hi everyone.

I bought a 2013 gx4 recently but i'm struggling to cope with the sound quality compared to the last car which had a Bose stereo.

It must have been one of the first latest model outlanders in the Uk but it is the most recent car.

I'm happy with the satnav etc but i'd love to upgrade the sound without changing the head unit. If anyone knows of direct swap speakers that have a positive effect or even an amp and speakers fitted to the current stereo that would be great.

You will need adapters for aftermarket speakers.

I bought these: Speaker Adapters Brackets Speaker Harness Aftermarket Radio Installation MISB0 | eBay

Then buy speakers of your choice.

Size 6.5.

You may want to also consider adding a sub. In general, aftermarket speakers do not provide sufficient low end.
