It has been long time since I had a car with automatic transmission. In the past 13 years I had had one with a standard transmission so I am not sure how the first gear in an automatic supposed to feel like, but it definitely feels way slower than a 200HP with a manual transmission. They mention in the manual that “ECO” mode switch affects acceleration (to save fuel) but I don’t notice any difference whether it is on or off
Is there a sport mode on your vehicle and, if so, have you tried using the paddle shifter or detent-shifter in sport mode? I find that our '10's acceleration is much quicker "off the line" in sport mode.

As an update, it finally occurred to me to "reboot" the car. I had a Park Avenue that when it started acting strange, I would leave the battery disconnected overnight. Did the same with the Outlander and major improvements all around. I didn't get to drive it enough today to know if everything is fixed, but I'm much happier. Have to be on the road tomorrow, so we will see.

Wow, they have training materials? Those monkeys?
I wonder why they don't read them.

Looks like not much changed from 2010 if anything at all.

By these graphs power seems to be couple of HP lower on 2014 ones.

Default Me too!

I have also experienced the hesitation you speak of. Sometimes it almost feels like a shifting if you will right around 40mph. Its a bit of a stutter really. I have also experienced an issue when starting off slowly in first gear.

I have not taken it to the dealer yet as it does not occur every time I drive. Please keep us updated on whether or not disconnecting the battery worked for you!

Thanks.
