Unhappy 2014 Replacing Halogen Bulbs with LED

I tried looking for an answer to this question online and haven't been able to find anything yet so I am hoping you guys can help.

I have 2014 Outlander SE AWC and I want to replace the current headlights with LED lights. I have purchased a few different H7 LED bulbs and I can't ever get them to fit. Is this something Mitsubishi has done to try to stop people from replacing them?

I can get the bulb into the housing, but it won't turn and lock into place. Upon looking at the female side of the plug, it has a plate on it, similar to the one on the bulb. Do these pieces combine in order to fit? The plugs for the LED bulbs are normal plugs connected to a cord, leading to the bulb. It does not look anything like the regular H7 bulb connection.

I hope you guys can shed some light on how I can get around this.

For reference, this is similar to what kind of LED bulbs I bought:

Thanks!

I found one that works fairly well. carlightingdistrict.com
It requires a special adapter which has been added to the 2015 Outlander model on their website. I got them for myself for christmas and haven't had any issues.

So I should buy the 2015 model ones and they will fit my 2014? That's awesome, thanks so much!!

Edit: looks like they just sell the adapter. If I just buy those they should fit?

Mine were H7's so they should be the same. The adapter is the part you are needing. It works really well. The support from that company is amazing. Shipping takes some time as they are located in Canada.
