Hi all,

I just bought a brand new 2015 Outlander SE, I can pair with my iPhone5 with IOS8 with no problem, but when I try to import my contacts, it will always say complete after a min or two, but the vehicle phonebook is always empty and I cannot use FUSE to just call people with their name.

If I manually add entry to vehicle phonebook and use that to call people then it's fine.

Any idea?

 

From what I recall from the user manual (and I read it over a year ago; mine is 2014 model), the Vehicle Phonebook is different from the Imported Contacts Phonebook. The later only becomes available when phone is actively connected over Bluetooth and also tied to that specific phone. Try playing with the menus in the dialer when the phone is connected and also have a look at the manual. It might be just something simple you are overlooking.
