2016 Outlander piss off
Im upset at two things the company will not change.
1) the average fuel economy in settings can be changed from factory auto reset of 4hrs of vehical turned off. To manual reser mode. GOOD who needs an auto reset anyway.
BUT in manual mode if you turn the car off at all it automaticly switches back to the auto reset. For F sakes why have the option.
So im back to manually pen and papper calculating fuil miallage. Wich is nowere near what the vehical clames it gets
2) If using ACC and the FCM desides to not work. The ACC no longer functions. I understand why. But well ACC is in ise it should switch to standard cruise controle untill FCM comes back.
On long road trips having to constantly turn ACC on and off and reseting set points. Its a pain.
Throw up a warning and keep cruis going unless say the last known FCM was calling for breaking. Due to obstical on front. Then and only then should the driver have to manually turn standerd cruse on.
Both these issues are fixable with software updates. And both make me pissed off to high hevin. Enough that if not fixed i may sell and never buy another mitsubishi.
WHY THE HELL WOULD THE CAR OVERIDE A MANUAL RESET. AND IF FCM DOSE NOT WORK RELIABBLY THEN ACC DOSE NOT WORK WHY ADVERTISE EHER FEATURE!!!

Mine is a GT the top end with all the bells and wistles. I do have auto locks
My point is not so much with the issue but that someone in design thought it was functonal. Resseting the fuil gage after being off for 4hr dose not even alow you to record a days worth of driving to and from work. Drive to work then it resets for the drive home. Thats idiotic
Hi Michal. No offense but you should turn on spell check. It's a struggle to read what you are trying to say. Not trying to start anything, just a friendly suggestion.
I don't have FCM so I can't comment on that. But as far as MPG, I have never seen an accurate gauge from a car computer. They are all pretty bad at estimating this due to various reasons. They are really meant for a ballpark, not ultimate accuracy. The truly only way to measure is to compare your trip odometer to what you fill up at the gas station. This is not unique to Mits. I am not annoyed by the resets because I don't trust that completely anyway. The fuel gauges in cars (incl Mits) vary greatly too. It's just ballpark computations for people who don't want to do some math, but don't rely too much on them. My two cents.

Mine is a SE. When I said auto lock, I meant auto door lock when the vehicle is moving. So GT has that feature? I am surprised Mitsubishi put such effort on fuel consumption display (and screwed up), but did not provide auto lock/unlock feature. My 9 years old GM car has that feature, and we can disable or configure it.
Also, they disabled DRL on US model ONLY.
I learned this the hard way as well , when I Bought a 2014 Mirage DE in March of 2014 I had the car about 8 months and I drove it to go get gas, before I started to go I ck the Mpg and it said I was getting 71.9 mpg!!! I was thrilled and I couldn't believe the Mpg I was getting! Then I went and got gas and after I filled it I went to reset it and the Mpg went down so low I knew that wasn't True! It was then I realized how that gauge worked. It starts all over when you stop and start. So after you fill up and you reset it. And then you go a short distance and then ck it again it gives you another reading of that short distance. So I learned not to ck it on short distance runs. Just on long trips is more true readings.
