Smile 2017 outlander rattle in the rear right

Hey guys I'm doing some side work for a buddy of mine on his 2017 Outlander he has a pretty substantial rattle in the rear right over bumps I've lifted it up and shaken it all down and it all seems tight I cant for the life of me figure out what is causing this noise has anyone else had a similar issue with one of these cars. I'm planning on taping my phone under it tomorrow to try to get it on video because i cant for the life of me recreate this sound. Any help or advice would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

I know it's an old thread. Did you ever figure what was wrong with it? I'm having the same issue.

Hi
I am having the same problem. I had a look underneath but no issues with suspension or shocks, but noticed that on turning the rear wheel there was a ‘clunking’ sound on the rear transmission box. Not sure it is a bush or the transmission itself.

I replaced the rear sway bar bushings and all the clunking is gone.
