Angry 2018 Outlander - Increase in idle Revs when clutch is depressed

Hi All,

i have a 2018 Diesel 2.2 Outlander with 43k kms on the clock. The balance shaft was rattling and i got it replaced under warranty. Since the replacement, whenever i depress the clutch, the idle goes from 650rpm to 750rpm. This never happened before. Went back to Mitsubishi and was told that i am picking on faults and this is normal. It happens on all Outlanders. Funny that i never happened to my outlander until the balance shaft was replaced. Never seen this happen to any vehicle i have driven.

Has anyone experience this as i am battling with the Mitsubishi garage to understand that something has changed since they worked on it.

Hi same issue happened to me.
I test drove the car and all was fine, then whilst I was waiting to pick up the car the balance shaft was done then after picking up the car it has been revving up when depressing the clutch over time this has got worse expecially when cold.
Now to top it off the clutch has started slipping with only 40 k miles on the clock but the garage can't seem to replicate this 🤔, I can't help thinking both issues are related

If they say it happens on all outlanders they need to demonstrate this to you. Here in Australia, we only have auto in 2.2 diesel, so i cant comment.
