Default 3.0 v6 motor question

i was looking at the specs on the motor horsepower on the Outy, and i saw 3 motor models. 1 4 cylinder and 2 V6's. one of the, has 213 hp and the other 220 hp, my question is which one does the USA have? i think i know the answer but i just want to clarify.

Mitsubishi 6B3 engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 3.0L (6B31) came with 220hp for the '07+. In 2010 they upped the compression to get 230HP at the cost of needing premium fuel.

Well, recommended is not required!

I drove over 25K kms out of total 30K using regular - don't see any drawbacks (except for potential not getting the maximum performance).

is it a good habit to use regular then once in a while put premium? i used to do that on my older denali. would using premium hurt the 2007 mitsu motor?

Default performance

Yup, it would have a crack on the performance which also does hit mpg.

The requirement for premium vs regular is a hardware requirement. So if your engine recommends regular, then using premium would do nothing cause the engine wouldn't know how to use the higher octane. Your knock and ping sensor would be working harder to compensate for the difference in octane!
