Default AC turns on and off

Today I took my 2010 outlander to get a gas refill since I wasn't getting a decent amount of air for the fron ac. The tech told me that for some reason, all the AC settings gave out proper amount of air except for the front AC. Upon inspecting, the tech also told me that the compressor turned on and off when it was running regardless of the setting. You could actually hear as the compressor turned on and off with the hood open.
Any thoughts on what it may be or what I can do to fix it?

So the tech diagnosed a problem with one of the frontal gates. It becomes stuck when switching to frontal air, to feet, to defroster. When it's set to front air, the gate becomes stuck and doesn't allow air flow, causing the system to cool and the compressor to shut off for a few seconds then back on. The problem is that it continues to be stuck and the tech couldn't find a solution on how to prevent it from getting stuck when switching ac modes.

Default AC issues

If your AC turns on and off by itself, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take. First, check the air filter and ensure it's clean and not causing any airflow restrictions. Secondly, inspect the thermostat settings to make sure it's properly programmed and not causing any issues. Additionally, I found this article that talks about why you may be experiencing these AC issues. Hope this helps!
